Grilled Pork Chops with Outback-Style Salad

This recipe is easy to make and will have your family chowing down. I love cooking on the grill and I equally love the salad at Outback Steakhouse. I made this with only pork chops and a side salad to keep the carbs down but a pasta or rice dish would also go well.

Here’s what you need:

Pork Chops

  • thin cut bone in pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of each:  onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper
  • olive oil

  • Iceberg lettuce washed and chopped
  • 1/2 cucumber chopped
  • 1/4 onion chopped
  • 1/2  avocado cubed
  • Bag of garlic croutons
  • Marie’s creamy ranch dressing
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • sliced tomatoes (optional)

Start by heating the grill on medium and then make the seasoning rub.

Pork chops

Spray the pork chops with olive oil and then sprinkle the seasoning rub all over both sides.

Pork chops

Slap those puppies on the grill and cook them about 5 – 7 minutes a side.

While the pork chops are grilling, start making the salad. Combine all ingredients and add dressing right before serving.
